Our soaps are cold-processed. This is the "old-fashioned" way of making soap.
Any time you add water to a recipe, bacteria can grow in your product before the item is completely used. Many preservatives advocated by the purists in the natural crowd only last several weeks and are very inconsistent. Safety first.

A word about that scary "lye":

"Saponified soap" simply means that the soap has undergone the saponification process.  Saponification is the chemical reaction that transforms fats, oils and a strong alkali, such as lye, into soap. It's SOAP. It occurs when fats or oils are combined with a strong alkali such as sodium hydroxide (lye) or potassium hydroxide (stronger than lye). Essentially, "saponified soap" is any soap created through this traditional soap-making process. So, in essence, most traditional, handmade soaps are "saponified soaps."

There's more?

All of our olive oil soaps are vegan. However, we make the popular "Unscented Goat Milk Soap," which is not vegan. What creates the great lather in our soaps? Premium Coconut oil. Whenever we researched handcrafted soaps, we found that approximately 90% of them include coconut oil. It makes fantastic lather. Another excellent quality of coconut oil is its very mild pH level, which is awesome for human skin.

Our Hand-Milled soaps are rebatched quality soaps crafted by the company owner, Ruth. She has selected the most popular fragrances and spends a considerable amount of time on each soap that she creates, wraps, and sells in our various small vendor shops.
